Please read carefully before placing your order


1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

By filling out the forms on this website and confirming the order (by clicking the button of your chosen payment method), the user fully accepts these general terms and conditions of sale, which will be the only ones applicable to the subsequent contract.

Christophe Roussel reserves the right to refuse any order in the event of the client's failure to comply with any of their obligations and, more generally, to refuse any order that appears abnormal for any reason. The order is only final after confirmation by Christophe Roussel.

Christophe Roussel will confirm acceptance of the order to the user by email (and by SMS if you provide your mobile number), or, where applicable, notify them of the refusal within 48 business hours of the order being placed online.

In the event of acceptance, Christophe Roussel agrees to sell and ship, via a reputable carrier and under optimal conditions, the products ordered by the client at the price stated on the invoice issued by the order form.


2. CLIENT OBLIGATIONS

The client agrees to fill in the forms accurately, including their billing address, delivery address (available during business hours), and telephone contact information. Otherwise, the order cannot be accepted. P.O. box addresses are not accepted as shipping addresses.

Clients are strictly prohibited from reselling Christophe Roussel products. Orders must be for personal use or for the personal use of the intended recipient.

Clients agree to respect the storage conditions of the products and the expiration dates indicated on the packaging.

For logistical and billing reasons: Once paid, online orders can no longer be modified. No changes in product quantity or selection will be accepted after payment. If the client forgets something in their initial order, they will need to place a new one.


3. PRESENCE OF ALLERGENS

Allergenic ingredients in Christophe Roussel macarons: tree nuts, milk, eggs, and soy.
For other pastries and products, allergen information is detailed in each product description.


4. PRICES

Product prices are net, including VAT, and expressed in Euros. Delivery charges are additional. Prices are guaranteed within the limits of available stock and subject to changes in VAT rates.


5. PAYMENT

Payment is made exclusively by VISA or MASTERCARD bank cards, online via the secure SystemPay platform (a secure payment solution provided by our banking partner "Banque Populaire"). Payment validation is immediate. No shipment will occur without payment validation.


6. DELIVERY FEES

For international deliveries, fees depend on the destination, weight, and volume of the parcel. For orders shipped abroad via Colissimo, customs duties are included in the shipping charges.

Shipping fees are as follows:

  • For mainland France and Corsica (home delivery): €7.00

  • Free shipping for orders over €70.00 within mainland France and Corsica.


7. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Pastries and chocolates sold online:
The 14-day withdrawal period does not apply to contracts for the supply of perishable goods, such as those sold by Christophe Roussel. Therefore, the client cannot claim this right.

However, a modification or cancellation may be considered if the order is still being prepared and has not yet been shipped. This is assessed case by case. In the event of a cancellation, the refund will be credited to the client’s bank card. Once the parcel is handed over to the carrier, no modification or cancellation will be accepted.

Pastry classes:
Pastry classes are considered a “leisure service to be provided on a specific date” (article L. 121-21 of the Consumer Code). As such, the right of withdrawal does not apply to already paid class reservations. Therefore, no rescheduling, cancellation, or refund requests will be accepted.


8. PRODUCT DELIVERY

Orders received and paid for by credit card are prepared and shipped the same day for orders placed from Monday to Friday before 12:00 PM, and the next day for orders placed after 12:00 PM (excluding weekends and holidays). Orders placed after 12:00 PM on Friday or on weekends are shipped on Monday (excluding holidays).

Orders are shipped via Colissimo.
Due to delivery issues with Chronopost, we no longer use this carrier.

For deliveries outside the European Union, the recipient agrees to pay all import taxes upon delivery, including customs duties, VAT, and other taxes required by the laws of the destination country.

Some countries are excluded from delivery due to logistical difficulties or import restrictions on food items.

Goods travel at the recipient’s risk. Ownership is transferred upon order confirmation. Christophe Roussel cannot be held responsible for damage to products if the parcel was opened during transit.

If the recipient or a person authorized to receive the products is absent, and the carrier has access to the recipient’s mailbox, a delivery notice will be left. The recipient must then contact the carrier or collect the package from the designated pick-up point. Christophe Roussel cannot be held liable for any product deterioration resulting from delayed pickup.

Christophe Roussel cannot be held liable for delivery failures due to incorrect addresses or delivery impossibility.

In cases of incomplete or imprecise delivery addresses, Christophe Roussel may contact the recipient by phone to complete the delivery information, provided the number is correct and the recipient is reachable.

Orders with P.O. box addresses will not be accepted.

Christophe Roussel cannot be held liable if delivery is not possible due to force majeure or natural disasters. Clients are advised that for long-distance destinations (3–5 days) and warm seasons, despite special packaging, handmade chocolates travel better during the colder months.


9. IN-STORE PICKUP

For orders with the "In-Store Pickup" option, the client agrees to collect their order from the selected boutique on the chosen date and time slot. Christophe Roussel will not store forgotten orders. Such orders cannot be refunded.


10. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Christophe Roussel products are handcrafted and available in limited quantities. In case of stock depletion, Christophe Roussel will contact the client by email or phone as soon as possible to reschedule delivery (when restocking is possible) or to offer a replacement of equal quality and value.

Please note that orders placed during holiday periods are more likely to encounter stock shortages than those placed during regular periods.


11. CLAIMS

Clients must ensure the delivery matches their order. Any damage must be noted in writing, dated and signed, on the delivery receipt. To be considered, complaints must be made within 48 business hours of receipt, either by mail to:

12. INVALIDITY – FORCE MAJEURE – GOVERNING LAW

If any of these general terms and conditions are deemed unenforceable or invalid for any reason, this does not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions. The invalid or inapplicable provision will be replaced by the one most closely resembling it.

Neither Christophe Roussel nor the client shall be held responsible for any failure to perform due to force majeure, including but not limited to war, riots, insurrection, transport disruption, import/export issues, strikes, lockouts, shortages, fires, earthquakes, storms, floods.

These terms are governed solely by French law. The Commercial Court of Paris shall have sole jurisdiction over any disputes.


13. DATA PROTECTION

By ordering on the Christophe Roussel website, the client consents to the use of their personal data. This data is necessary for order processing.

All information is handled with the utmost care and confidentiality. The file containing this data has been declared to the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL). In accordance with Article 34 of the French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, clients have the right to access, modify, or delete their data.
